Today in 6A!
ENGLISH: Set up students with their Sadlier accounts. Good news parents! Vocabulary texts are now fully online. Please ask you children to show you te new website and all the cool tools we have at our disposal for vocabulary development. We will be exploring them all week.
LITERATURE: Today we began our first book of the year, "Crash." Students read the first 20 pages (5 chapters) and made some predictions about where they think this story is going. They also analyzed the nature of certain characters which helped them understand their actions.
STAR Testing: Students performed their first STAR reading tests today.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We began our journey into prehistory today helping to understand the work that archaeologists do to interpret evidence to create the historical narrative. Students read pages 2-11 and were assigned questions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 for homework. Students work will be checked for completion on Wednesday.
