TODAY IN 6A:
  • ENGLISH: classes corrected & recorded U.8 Vocabulary "Completing the Sentence"; mini-lesson on writing/revising/tayloring a Preview Thesis for STEPS ESSAY; rest of the class was used to begin writing essay (TOPIC: the value of school uniforms) from their outlines in Step 6
  • MATH
  • PE
  • AR
  • RELIGION: 6B joined class to correct HW and review key concepts; class worked with Michael to reset default settings on Chromebooks to 12 pt. font, Times New Roman
  • SOCIAL STUDIES: student were given time to complete the Ancient Egypt Webquest
6A HOMEWORK: 
  • ENGLISH: complete rough draft of STEPS Essay & bring a printed copy of it to class; review U.8 Vocab for test
  • RELIGION: Review U.3 Family Life HW for tomorrow's test (hint: it's pretty identical to the test)

  • MATH (8:00 class) worked on review questions for chp test  (9:00 class) took notes on precision

  • RELIGION: Family Life with 6B--students shared their responses to "God's Blessing" on the value of children as God's blessing; class finished reading L.6 A Baby Arrives
  • SOCIAL STUDIES: students worked silently and independently on "Ancient Egypt Daily Life Webquest" (not HW)
  • SCIENCE went over previous nights questions handed back Test

  • ENGLISH: "Dress Code Lesson"--students collaborated to collectively identify the purposes and functions of a school dress code (notes were individually kept); Parts of Speech Quiz

  • FAMILY LIFE: met with 6B to read L.5 Expecting a Baby followed by a discussion on the Church's view of LIFE BEGINNING AT CONCEPTION
